I’m Home.

This is now my new home.  At first I was resistant to going elsewhere.  I emailed Kelly, the person who originally designed my Blogger blog (and she designs killer, awesome blogs, by the way!), about a blog re-do but she hasn’t been online so much anymore.  When she finally did post about why she hasn’t been around much, I felt terrible sending her one email after another.  Her sister has just been diagnosed with cancer and her life is going in a whole other direction right now.  So Kelly, if you ever get over here, I apologize for bugging you!!  For those of you reading this and you feel inclined, stop by Kelly’s and offer your thoughts and tell her Chris sent you.

As I said on my previous blog, it was time for a change.  A lot has happened in the past 4 months, all of which has had an effect on me both indirectly and directly.  As much as I hate it when difficult or bad things happen, I know I will learn from it or have that ‘ah-ha’ moment (which inspired the new blog name).  I’ll post more about it later, but for now, if you’re reading this after being redirected from my old blog thanks for stopping by. It’ll take getting used to over here and I was able to import everything from my ‘old’ blog but so far so good.  I designed my own header.  Yes, that’s a picture of my son (of course it is! LOL).  I really want to learn more about HTML and CSS so I can take it even further, but for now, it’s working for me.

I’ve missed blogging.  It’s good to be home.  I missed you guys!

It’s definitely an upgrade (just short of self-hosting) but your site doesn’t have a title.

I do have a title. It’s right there on my header page! LOL. Just the URL link doesn’t say the name. I don’t know anything about CSS or HTML and this was the only way to get the font and the title the way I wanted it by adding it directly to my photo before uploading it. I don’t like the original font and there’s no way to add a subtitle below it. If I add the blog name, it will show right on top of my photo. This is the best I could do.

Look in header.php and after the body tag remove this line…

    a href=”">

Then enter the title in your dashboard. Email me your file if you have trouble finding it.

  6. archshrk Says:

Sorry, code got removed. Let’s try again…

    Aw heck!

    …php bloginfo(‘name’)…

LOL! Look where? In the template? I don’t have any access to it without paying for it. I think?? LOL

Hey! You SO did NOT bug me. I felt horrible not having time to do anything for you. I’ve hardly checked my email in, I don’t know, FOREVER, and when I did, I felt horrible knowing that I couldn’t even give you a TIME when I knew I could help. Anyway. Thanks for the sweet email and well wishes. You know that when I get back on my feet I will help you in whatever way I can with this blog! Thanks again for being so nice and understanding.

Kelly, you are so the bomb. Now go and be a great big sista’! When you’re ready, I’ll be here. :)

Yeah, it would be in the theme template which I don’t think you have access to at wordpress.com. But now you know where to look if you get access.
